Today election day of president of India.

The election has been started for the 14th president of India since the morning today. The election is going on for the President of India. This time former governor of Bihar Ram Nath Kovind and former Loksabha speaker Meira Kumar are Presidential candidate. People of India can not casting their votes in this election, Only the members of the parliament and the members of the state councils and union territories of India   can cast their votes. The president of India is first citizen of India. The president of India is the supreme commander of the armed force.  The president of India is head of the state.  Indian constitution define the role and Important power of president in various articles. The president election comes in every five year. The ruling party bhartiya janta party has confident that NDA candidate RamNath kovind would win with a good margin. Meira Kumar is nominee by opposition and they feels that they have chosen right candidate for the president. If she will win then she become the second women president of India after Pratibha Devisingh Patil. Ram Nath kovind has more chances to win against Meira kumar however the cross voting may change the result. Nobody can know that who cast vote for whom. Today Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and bhartiya janta party president have cast their vote for the presidential election. The election will close at 5pm today. The result of this election will declare on 20th July. After the result, everyone will know who be the 14th president of India. The president of india is chosen by the electoral college, which consist of 4.896 members( 543 members of Lok Sabha and 233members of Rajya sabha) and toatal members of state Assemblies (4120).
